Minnie D’Andrea (nee Presutto), age 88, of Lorain passed away Monday, March 14, 2011 after a short illness.
Minnie was born on October 29, 1922 in Crucible, PA to the late Salvatore and Marie (nee DiGennaro) Presutto. Minnie moved to Lorain as a young child. She attended Lorain High School.
She was a member of The Church of St. Peter, Lorain. She was a homemaker and enjoyed painting, cooking, playing the organ, gardening and cake decorating. Her most cherished time was being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Minnie is survived by her husband of 66 years, Christy D’Andrea; son, Robert (Sue) D’Andrea, of Avon Lake; daughter, Elaine D’Andrea of Lorain; grandchildren, Robert D’Andrea, Tom (Wendi) D’Andrea, Katie (Scott) Starek, Mike (Aubin) D’Andrea and Doug D’Andrea; great-grandchildren, Aniella D’Andrea and Liliana Marie Starek.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph A. D’Andrea; parents, Salvatore and Marie (nee DiGennaro) Presutto; brothers, Eugene, John, James and Moses Presutto.
The D’Andrea Family will receive family and friends on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. Closing prayers will be said in the Funeral Center on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Rev. Fr. Craig Hovanec, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Family suggest contributions to the Church of St. Peter.
