Diane R. Anderson, age 46, a lifelong resident of Lorain passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011 at her home after battling cancer.
She was born on January 4, 1965 in Lorain, Ohio and was a 1984 graduate of Admiral King High School.
Diane was employed by Lake Pointe Health Center in Lorain for the past 9 years working in both Health Aide and Housekeeping. She was a member of the Church of St. Peter, Lorain where she participated in the Vacation Bible School Program for many years.
Dunkin Donuts was a daily stopping point for Diane and her coffee cravings and on certain days was known to be there more than once. She enjoyed going to festivals and her most treasured times were spent with her family.
Diane is survived by her son, Dane Anderson, of Lorain; mother, Kathleen Anderson (nee Zelenak), of Lorain; sisters, Laurie Arthur, of Fort Myers, Florida, Susie Auvil, of Lorain and Lisa (Bud) Swiger, of Lorain; brother, Steve Zelenak, of Fort Myers, Florida; Nieces and nephew, Jeremy and Jenna Swiger, Ashley Auvil, Hanna Linn and Melissa Arthur.
She was preceded in death by her brother, David Carl Deeds and her aunt, MaryAnn Perry.
The Anderson Family will receive friends on Monday, January 2, 2012 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Closing prayers will be said on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. in the Funeral Center followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Rev. Fr. Craig Hovanec, Pastor, will officiate. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
