David Mead, age 63, a lifelong resident of Lorain, passed away peacefully, Monday, June 6, 2011 at Autumn Aegis.
David was born on December 12, 1947 to the late Donald and Lois (nee Pollock) Mead.
He was a 1965 graduate of Admiral King High School and continued his education earning his Associates Degree from Lorain County Community College.
David was employed as a sheet metal mechanic for U.S. Steel retiring in 2000 after 30 years of service.
In 1987, David was inducted into the Lorain USBC Bowling Association Hall of Fame. He enjoyed playing golf and wood working.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Janet (nee Vick); sons, Brian Mead, of Sandusky and Jeff (Roseanne) Mead, of Amherst; grandchildren, Brandon, Jaret, Shyan and Lauren; sister, Donna Cullen, of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Lois (nee Pollock) Mead and his brother, Greg Mead.
Private family funeral services were held.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center.
